About the tutor
Kathy Boyle is a visual artist working across several disciplines including printmaking, multimedia and installation. She has recently been experimenting with printmaking using plaster as the substrate. She uses traditional printmaking techniques in combination with the non traditional process of printing directly into plaster creating 3dimensional objects that can then be carved and sculpted.
She has a Bachelor of Visual Arts and Design and a Diploma of Teaching. She was a founding member of the Print Council of Aotearoa New Zealand and is currently the chairperson.
Alongside her art practice Boyle draws on 30 years of teaching experience to provide a range of printmaking and mixed media workshops to artist, teachers and as a visiting artist in schools.
