MULTIPLATE LINOCUT |
Sunday 24th & 31st August 10am-4pm This workshop will explore the introduction of colour by means of multi lino block printing and chine colle. Offsetting a design/ drawing from the key block (one that has been carved) to uncut blocks. Registration of paper and lino blocks will be demonstrated. The use of coloured rice paper used in combination with multi colour block printing can also be experimented with. Robyn Elphinstone completed her Bachelor of Fine Art at Griffith University in 2005. She has participated in many exhibitions, regionally and internationally. In 2005 Robyn won the Karl and Gertrude Langer Memorial Prize for Printmaking and the Theiss Employees Choice Award in 2006. Her works are in numerous private and public collections including Australian National Gallery, Canberra, Queensland State Library James Hardie Collection, Mackay Artspace, and James Cook and Griffith Universities. |
