COLLOGRAPH
with Suzanne Danaher

Sunday 11th May & Sunday 18th May 10am-4pm

Impress members $170, non-members $200 including materials

Collograph’s are an exciting way to produce a quality print without the need for etching a plate. They cross the boundaries between sculpture and the print medium. Quite often a finished collograph plate will become an artwork in it’s own right. The main focus of this workshop will be the preparation and techniques involved in producing a collograph plate. However, some time will be devoted to registration, use of colour and printing a pre-prepared plate.

Suzanne Danaher completed her Master of Visual Arts at the Queensland College of Art in 2004. Her work is held in numerous major Australian & international collections including the National Gallery of Australia. In 2001 she was selected as a commissioned print artist by the Print Council of Australia. In 1995 she represented Australia in the 7th International Bienniel Print & Drawing exhibition in Taipei. In 2006 she was appointed visiting lecturer at the Queensland College of Art. Suzanne has exhibited widely over the past twenty years, most recently at a survey of her work from 1997 to 2007 at the Redland Regional Gallery, Queensland.
