Individual studio use is available only to members and only after the completion of an induction.
Studio Inductions are held regularly, twice every month on a Wednesday evening and a Saturday morning. Submit the form below to arrange to attend a scheduled Induction. Bookings are essential. Visit Messages to Members Page for Scheduled Dates and Times
This induction is to provide Members with key card access to the Studio and Gallery. It is not an introduction to printmaking techniques.
STANDARD INDUCTIONS: A standard induction will cover
Workshop Health and Safety
Basic Equipment Handling.
Inductions take one hour.
Any printmaking process which involves the use of specialist chemicals will require an additional Induction or Training such as:
Screenprinting processes such as the use of photo- emulsion
For experienced Printmakers inductions in the use of chemicals for the above mediums will be held by arrangement with a volunteer member familiiar with the desired process.
If you are inexperienced or very rusty in the practice of the above methods of Printmaking - It is recommended that you enrol in a workshop to familiarise or refresh yourself in the technique you wish to explore.
Studio Inducted Members will be provided with an electronic studio access card on payment of $10. This card is numbered and registered to you for the duration of your financial membership, however it remains the property of Impress Printmakers Studio at all times and Must be returned when membership ceases.
If your current financial membership should lapse for longer than two months: You must return the card to Impress Printmakers Studio either in person to a committee member or by post to: Impress Printmakers Studio P O Box 355 Lutwyche 4034
Warning Please keep your swipe card on your person at all times. If you leave the studio without it and the door locks behind you, you will not be able to regain access for any forgotten jobs or possessions. This is important as we do not have an on-site manager and any calls to the security service who monitor the system will be at the member's expense.
It is recommended that you put it on a lanyard and wear it inside your clothes while operating equipment in the studio.
