Pineapples Exhibition - currently underway in Tasmania
This past week Impress' JayDee Dearness and Pat and Charles Zuber set up the first leg of the PINE APPLES exhibition which is currently showing at their gallery – Church Studio Franklin, in Tasmania. Due to the heritage building restrictions on the space, we had to be careful how we hung the show but Pat and Charles came up with a wonderful solution using metal rods and ever trusty magnets!! And by hanging ’salon style’ we were able to get everyone’s prints up on the walls with minimum fuss.
The opening on the 26th was a real success with 13 prints sold that night and if you would like to see more images from the evening then click here. Hunter Island Press has also written an article here.
The exhibition continued on in Tasmania until the 7th March.
The exhibition will be in Brisbane:
27th of March to the 3rd of April, 2010
Myrtle Street Studio, 39 Myrtle Street, Grange (Brisbane) QLD 4051.
Wednesday to Friday, 12.00noon to 6.00pm
Saturday, 10.00am to 4.00pm.
My Case
The final exhibition was held January 4 – 16, 2010 at Café Conti in Wilston.
Coordinated by Astrid Moss and Sharon Smith, My Case was an opportunity for Impress members to engage with artists in Hong Kong where the prints were exhibited at The Hong Kong Open Printshop Gallery Artland Gallery. In Brisbane, the show continued at the Queensland College of Art Project Gallery [4 - 16 August 2009] and Café Conte Wilston during January 2010. This was followed by a closing dinner. All artwork was for sale so it was agreat opportunity to purchase original limited edition prints.
