Exhibitions: Impress Printmakers Gallery 14 -25 September 2016 CAN Gallery Napier New Zealand 15 October - 3 November 2016 plus another New Zealand Venue in 2017
This travelling international fine art print exhibition, co-curated by Glenda Orr (Australia) and Kathy Boyle (New Zealand) will celebrate the character, relations, similarities and/or differences of close neighbours, Australia and New Zealand.
Terms and Conditions of Entry
1. Must be an Impress Member, undertake at least one task to help with show at Impress premise (unless you live outside greater Brisbane region), 2. Submit artwork as detailed below and pay $40 entry fee. Up to 30 Impress members can participate so unlikely to need to be by selection. 3. You will need to submit - two copies of a 2D print-based artwork on at least 200 gsm archival paper of dimensions 38 x 28 cm; - 2 to 6 copies (up to 5 for sale) from an edition of any size; - Work must be unframed.(no mounting or frame); - prints to be signed in pencil on right, title in middle and edition number on left at bottom of print; - edition can be variable to allow for monoprints; - any broad interpretation of theme, Across the Ditch, is acceptable; - image can be any size on the paper, any print media, - the print must not have been previously shown by Impress. 4. Also participants are to submit - a high resolution jpeg (300 dpi) of your image, - Your bank and contact details in case of sales - print details (title, media, etc), - artist statement (max. 150 words) and - A non-refundable entry fee of $40 applies to members of Impress Printmakers Studio & Gallery. New Zealand Artists - Contact Kathy Boyle. - Please note that there will be - a 20% commission on sales for Australian exhibition and - 30% commission for NZ exhibitions (therefore prices can be adjusted for NZ shows to account for commission and exchange rate). 5. Entry Forms are due 5pm Friday July 22, EST (Brisbane time). 6. Artwork must be delivered unframed to Impress Printmakers Studio and Gallery between 10am and 4pm Saturday 27th August. 7. Works sent by post must arrive the last business day of the week Friday 26th August 2016 to PO Box 355 Lutwyche 4030 7. Work should be unframed and appropriately packaged to prevent damage during transport and storage. 8. Artists will be responsible for the safe transport of work to and from Impress Printmakers Studio and Gallery, and will be responsible for their own insurance during the transit and exhibition period.

30 June 2016 - Email Expression of Interest: 30 July 2016 - Pay $40 entry fee (preferably Direct Deposit – see below) 17 August 2016 - Email Print details & jpeg of image to curator Saturday 27th August 2016 - Deliver prints to Impress Printmakers Gallery 11am - 4pm Saturday 27th August 2016 - Nominate for the task you will undertake to assist (roster closer to date) Tuesday 13 Sept 2016 - Hanging of exhibition Friday 16th September 6pm - Opening Event 25 Sept 2016 - Dismount of Impress exhibition & transfer to NZ
